The Bon Ton Bakery and Patisserie is an artisanal bakery that started in 1956. The goal back then and today is to create the finest bread and pastries with quality ingredients and no compromises. We are a cornerstone of the Edmonton baking scene, with customers in successive generations enjoying our hand-made creations!
Over the years, our product range has expanded significantly and now also includes a number of grocery items that complement our baked goods, but our value of ensuring the highest quality for all of our products has never changed. We strive to stay at the leading edge of artisanal baking, and utilize the best, proven techniques to create that perfect loaf, cake, or pastry.
We are always looking for world class talent, so if you have a passion for baking different types of bread (long fermentation sourdough, rye, baguette, croissants, and other breads), and love to work in a team environment, a position at Bon Ton may be for you.
Junior and Senior Baker positions require formal school training and/or experience in mixing, bench work, proofing, and baking all types of yeasted and sourdough breads, as well as working with laminated dough.
Baker Assistant positions do not require bread baking experience, but candidates require a strong willingness to learn the methods of artisanal bread baking, a positive attitude, and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
As part of our baking team, you will work overnight, 5 days/week, and you will have the ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand and/or bend for extended periods of time. You must also be able to work in Canada.
